Fifth grade is a very exciting time for students! They have already learned a lot and grown significantly, and my goal is to nurture this learning into higher level thinking. I reference Bloom’s Taxonomy and Garner’s multiple intelligences often in my philosophy and I encourage you to read and ask me more questions about this. Multiple intelligences is an area I feel strongly about and I truly believe that children should have the opportunity to learn and be assessed in different ways. They all have greatness to show and it my job as an educator to find what really clicks and work with that. You may often hear about the arts being combined with unusual subjects such as math and science, I encourage a fun learning environment and I feel that the arts are a great way to bring creativity into the mix.  Below I have included expectations from the Ontario curriculum that I plan to meet in my lesson. Although the full lesson plan is not posted here I am having to provide any supplementary information and details about my class. I welcome questions and comments and know that my classroom is always open to you! Together I hope we can make your child’s educational experience a success!
